Because there were among the Israelites ñÑêÖþÐNÌ−Ðëe−ÖíÓL for this is meant by what he said, ,óÓíÖñþÔôÖêÓLê−ÌíBï
of that generation þBcÔí B³BêÐa ‘Beware, for “Evil” confronts you’.” ;óÓ×−ÑòÐtðÓèÓòíÖ¼Öþ−ÌkeêÐþ
evil people who did not wish to leave, ,³êÑ®Öñó−Ì®Bþ e−ÖíêGÐîó−̼ÖLÐþ Immediately “God reconsidered the ‘Evil’” 11 íÖ¼ÖþÖíñÔ¼’íóÓìÖpÌiÔîðÖiÌô
and they died out during the three days of darkness ,íÖñÑõÎê−ÑôÐ−³ÓLñÐLÌëe³Ñôe and turned the blood to blood of circumcision ,íÖñ−ÌôóÔðÐñóÖcÔí³ÓêCÔõÖíÐî
so that the Egyptians not see their demise óÖ zÐñÔtÔôÐaó−ÌiÌþЮÌôeêÐþÌ−êHÓL−ÑðÐk for Yehoshua circumcised them. ,óÖ³Bê Ô¼ŠLBíÐ−ñÖnÓL
thereby saying, “They are being struck as we are.” .eòBôÖkó−ÌšBñ óÑí¹Ôê ,eþÐôêÒ−Ðî This is meant by what is said: (Yehoshua said:) ,þÔôÍêÓpÓLeíÓïÐî
Furthermore, [during the darkness] the Israelites searched ñÑêÖþÐNÌ− eNÐtÌìÓL ,ðB¼Ðî “Today I have removed the shame of Egypt from you” 12 óÓ×−ÑñμÑôóÌ−ÔþЮÌô³ÔtÐþÓì³Óê̳BlÔb óBiÔí
and saw their [the Egyptians’ valuable] vessels ,óÓí−ÑñÐk³ÓêeêÖþÐî for they had been saying to you, ,óÓ×Öñó−ÌþÐôBê e−ÖíÓL
and when they left [Egypt] eêЮÖiÓLÐ×e “We see blood upon you in the wilderness.” :þÖaÐðÌnÔaóÓ×−Ññμö−ÌêBþ eòÖêóÖc
and asked them [for the valuable vessels] ,öÓíÑô ó−ÌñÎêBL e−ÖíÐî [11] This is not right— .ïÅëàG [àé]
and they (the Egyptians) responded, ó−ÌþÐôBê e−ÖíÐî as you have said óÓzÐþÔôÎêþÓLÎêÔk
“We have nothing [to give you],” ,óeñÐ× eò−ÑðÖ−Ðaö−Ñê to take the children along with you, ,óÓ×Ön̼¹ÔhÔí C−ÌñBíÐñ
he (the Israelite) would say to him, ,Bñ þÑôBê but, rather, let the men go and serve God.” :’í-³ÓêeðÐë̼Ðîó−ÌþÖëÐbÔí e×ÐñêÖlÓê
“But I did see it in your house ,Eг−ÑëÐaî−̳−ÌêÐþ−ÌòÎê
