                          Shemos—Shemos 3:7–11

 17. He said, “You are lazy, ó−¢ÌtÐþÌòó£ÓzÔêó−'ÌtÐþÌòþÓôêÒ§iÔî .ï−  and I am aware of their pain. :î−ÞÖëÒêÐ×Ôô-³Óê−Ìzм£ÔðÖ−−'Ìk
 therefore you say, ó− flÌþÐôÒ Þêó¤ÓzÔê ·öÑk-ñÔ¼  8. I have descended to free them |B¤ñ−ÌvÔíÐñð„ÑþÑêÞÖî.ì
 ‘Let us go sacrifice to Adonoy.’ :íÒÞÖîí−ÞÔñí'ÖìÐaÐïÌòí£Ö×ÐñÞÑò  from the hand of Egypt, óÌ−†ÔþЮÌôð¤ÔiÌô
 18. Now go, get to work. e flðÐë̼e¤×Ðñ ·íÖzÔ¼Ðî .ì−  and to bring them up from that land ›êîÌíÔí±Óþ¤ÖêÖí-öÌô ‡B³GμÞÔíÐñe
 You will not be given straw, ó¢Ó×Öñö¤Ñ³ÖpÌ−-ê ÞGöÓë£Ó³Ðî  to a good, spacious land, í flÖëÖìÐþe ·íÖëB¬ ±Óþ¥Óê-ñÓê
 and you must deliver your quota of bricks.” :eòÞÑzÌzó−£ÌòÑëÐñöÓ×Ò'³Ðî  to a land flowing with milk and honey; L¢ÖëÐðe ë£ÖñÖì³'ÔëÖï±Óþ§Óê-ñÓê
 19. The officers of the B’nei Yisrael realized ñ§ÑêÖþÐNÌ−-−ÞÑòÐë−«ÑþÐ¬Ò ÞLe„êÐþÌiÔî .¬−  to the territory of the Canaanites, ·−ÌòμÞÔòÐkÔíóB¥šÐô-ñÓ ê
 their bad position, saying, þÒ¢ôêÑñ¼¤ÖþÐaó£Ö³Òê  the Chittites, the Emorites, the Perizites, −flÌfÌþÐtÔíÐî ·−ÌþÒôÍêÞÖíÐî− flÌzÌì¤ÔíÐî
 “You must not reduce your daily quota of bricks.” :B ÞôB−ÐaóB'−-þÔëÐcó£Ó×−ÑòÐëÌlÌôe'¼ÐþÐè̳-ê ÞG  the Chivites and the Yevusites. :−Þ̽eëÐ−ÔíÐî−£ÌeÌìÞÔíÐî
 20. They met Moshe and Aharon öÕ flþÎíÞÔê-³ÓêÐîí¤ÓLô-³Óê ·e¼ÐbÐõÌiÔî.×  9. Now, behold, í§ÑpÌíí–ÖzÔ¼Ðî.¬
 who were waiting to meet them ó¢Ö³êÖþКÌñó−£ÌëÖvÌò  the cry of the B’nei Yisrael has come to Me. −¢ÖñÑêíÖê¤Öañ£ÑêÖþÐNÌ−-−ÞÑòÐa³'ԚμÞÔ®
 as they were leaving Pharaoh. :íÒ Þ¼ÐþÔt³'ÑêÑôó£Ö³êÑ ®Ða  I have also seen the oppression ±Ôì flÔlÔí-³Óê ·−̳−·ÌêÖþ-óÔèÐî
 21. They said to them [Moshe and Aharon], ó flÓíÑñÎêe¤þÐôêÒÞiÔî .ê×  with which the Egyptians oppress them. :óÞÖ³Òêó−'Ì®Îì Þ GóÌ−£ÔþЮÌôþ'ÓLÎê
              10. Now go. I am sending you to Pharaoh, íÒ¢¼ÐþÔt-ñÓê £EÎìÞÖñÐLÓêÐîí flÖ×Ðñí¤ÖzÔ¼Ðî.−

                        and you will bring My people, −'ÌnÔ¼-³Óêê§Ñ®BíÐî
 [18] Quota of bricks.  .íéÄðÅáÀìïÆëÉúÀå [çé]  the B’nei Yisrael, out of Egypt.” :óÌ−ÞÖþЮÌnÌôñ£ÑêÖþÐNÌ−-−ÞÑòÐë
 [ó−ÌòÑëÐñöÓ×Ò³Ðî means:] the number of bricks.  .ó−ÌòÑëÐlÔí öBaÐLÓì
                           11. Moshe said to Elohim, ó− flÌíGÍê¤Öí-ñÓê ·íÓLô þÓôêÒ¥iÔî .ê−

 Similarly: “The money (öÖkŠ³ÐôÔí)” —that was counted—  ,−eòÖnÔíZöÖkŠ³ÐôÔí¹Ó½ÓkÔí³ÓêöÑ×Ðî
                “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh? íÒ¢¼ÐþÔt-ñÓêC£ÑñÑê−'Ìk−Ì×ÒflòÖê−¤Ìô
 as is mentioned in that narrative:  ,öÖ−Ðò̼ÖaþÔôÖêÓLBôÐk
 “They wrapped it and counted the money.” 39  :¹Ó½ÖkÔí³ÓêeòÐôÌiÔîeþЮÖiÔî  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA RASHI  é"ùø AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
 [19] The officers of the B’nei Yisrael realized.  .ìÅàÈøÀNÄé-éÞÅðÀáéÅøÀèÉ ÞLeàÀøÄiÇå [èé]
                      [7] I am aware of their pain. 17  .åéÞÈáÉàÀëÇî-úÆàéÄzÀòÇãÈééÄk [æ]
 that their fellow men who were ruled by them.  .óÖðÖ−ñÔ¼ó−ÌcÐþÌpÔíóÓí−ÑþÐëÔì³Óê
        Should be understood in the same sense as ó−ÌíGÍê¼ÔðÑiÔî,  18  ,ó−ÌíGÍê¼ÔðÑiÔîBôÐk
 Bad position.  .òÈøÀa
                meaning: “That I have focused My attention  ëÑñ−ÌzÐôÔN−ÌkþÔôBñÐk
 They saw them in the bad and oppressive state  íÖþÖ®ÐîíÖ¼ÖþÐaóÖ³Bê eêÖþ
                     to take note and to know their pain,  ,î−ÖëBêÐ×Ôô³Óê³Ô¼ÔðÖñÐîöÑòBaгÌíÐñ
 which came upon them  ,óÖ³Bê ³êÑ®BnÔí
                          and have not ignored [them]  −Ôò−Ѽ−ÌzÐôÔñͼÓíêGÐî
 when they had to increase their work-load  ,óÓí−ÑñμíÖðBëμÖíóÖð−ÌaÐ×ÔíÐa
                   nor will I block My ears from their cry.”  :óֳ֚μÔvÌô−ÌòÐïÖê óe¬ÖêêGÐî
 when they were told “Do not diminish, etc.”  :’îèî e¼ÐþÐè̳-ê ÞGþÒôêÑñ
           [10] Now go, I am sending you to Pharaoh. 19  .äÉòÀøÇt-ìÆàEÂçÞÈìÀLÆàÀåäÈëÀìäÈzÇòÀå [é]
 [20] They met. 40  .eòÀbÀôÄiÇå [ë]
                   “Should you say, ‘What good will it do?’  ?ñ−̼Bz íÔôþÔôêÒzóÌêÐî
 Some of the B’nei Yisrael [met] Moshe and Aharon, etc.  .’îèî öÒþÎíÞÔê-³ÓêÐîíÓLô-³ÓêñÑêÖþÐNÌiÌôó−ÌLÖòÎê
       [My response to you is:] ‘You will bring My nation out.’”  .−ÌnÔ¼-³ÓêêÑ®BíÐî
 However, our Sages explained [that]  :eLÐþÖð eò−ѳBaÔþÐî
                  [Meaning:] “Your words will be effective  E−ÓþÖëÐð eñ−̼B−
 wherever ó−ÌvÌò—quarreling or ó−ÌëÖvÌò—standing [appear]  ó−ÌëÖvÌòÐîó−ÌvÌòñÖk
                    and you will bring them out of there.”  :óÖMÌôóÑê−Ì®B³Ðî
 it is a reference to Doson and Aviram  ,e−ÖíóÖþ−ÌëÎêÔîöÖ³Öc

 for it is said about them:  óÓíÖaþÔôÍêÓpÓL
 “They went out (ó−ÌëÖvÌò) standing.” 41  :ó−ÌëÖvÌòeêЮÖ−
