 “Leave, go up from this [place]— íflÓfÌôí¤ÑñμC¤Ññ  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA RASHI  é"ùø AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
 you and the people you brought up Ö³−£ÌñͼÞÓíþ'ÓLÎêó flÖ¼ÖíÐîí¤ÖzÔê
                                  These are our gods.  ,eò−ÑíGÍêíÓlÑê
 from the land of Egypt— óÌ−¢ÖþЮÌô±Óþ¤ÓêÑô
                     From this [we derive] that the riffraff  ëÔþëÓþѼÓLöêÖkÌô
 to the land of which I swore −Ìzм…ÔaÐLÌò…þ¤ÓLÎê±Óþ †ÖêÖí-ñÓê  that came up from Egypt  ,óÌ−ÔþЮÌnÌôeñÖ¼ÓL

 ‘To your descendants I will give it.’ :íÖpÞÓòÐzÓê £EμÐþÔ ïÐñ  and were the ones that made it (the Calf),  ,eíeêÖNμÓLóÑíÐî
            and afterwards misled the Israelites to follow it. 38  :î−ÖþÎìÔêñÑêÖþÐNÌ−³Óêe¼Ð¬ÌíCÖkþÔìÔêÐî
 2. I will send an angel before you, C¢ÖêÐñÔôE−£ÓòÖõÐñ−'ÌzÐìÔñÞÖLÐî.ë
                               [5] Aharon saw— 39  .ïÉøÂäÞÇààÀøÇiÇå [ä]
 and I will drive out the Canaanites, the Emorites, − flÌþÒôÍêÞÖí ·−ÌòμÞÔòÐkÔí-³Óê− †ÌzÐLÔþÞÑèÐî
                                    that it was alive  ,ó−ÌiÔìÔìeþ Bë íÖ−ÖíÓL
 the Chitites, the Perizites, −flÌfÌþÐtÔíÐî ·−ÌzÌìÞÔíÐî
                        as it is said [of the Golden Calf]:  þÔôÍêÓpÓL
 the Chivites, and the Yevusites. :−Þ̽eëÐ−ÔíÐî−£ÌeÌìÞÔí  “in the form of an ox eating grass,” 40  ,ëÓNѼñÑ×Òê þBL ³−ÌòÐëÔ³Ða
           and he thereby saw that the Satan’s act 41  succeeded  ,öÖ¬ÖNíÑNμÔôÔì−ÌñЮÌíÓLíÖêÖþÐî

 [35] Adonoy struck the people with a plague.  .íÈòÈä-úÆà'äóÉbÄiÇå [äì]  He built an altar—  .ÇçÅaÀæÄîïÆáÄiÇå
 [I.e.,] death at the hands of the Heavenly King,  óÌ−ÔôÖL−Ñð−ÌëíÖ³−Ìô  so as to stall them. 42  :óÖ³BìÐðÌñZ
 [for those who sinned] before witnesses  ó−ÌðѼÐñ  And he said,  ,àÈøÀ÷ÄiÇå
 without having received a warning. 32  :íÖêÖþгÔíêGÐa  tomorrow 43  will be a festival to Adonoy.  .øÞÈçÈî'äÞÇìâÇç
 [1] Leave, go up from this.  .äÆfÄîäÅìÂòCÅì [à]  But [he did not say] “today,”  ,óBiÔíêGÐî
 Eretz Yisrael is the highest of all the lands. 1  ,³B®ÖþÎêÖíñÖkÌôíÖíBëÐbñÑêÖþÐNÌ−±ÓþÓê  in case Moshe would return before they worship it.  ,eíeðÐëÔ¼ÔiÓLóÓðBš íÓLô êBëÖ−êÖnÓL
 Therefore it says: “Go up.”  ;íÑñμþÔôÍêÓòCÖ×Ðñ  That is its plain meaning.  ;B¬eLÐõeíÓï
 An alternate explanation [for the expression: “Go up”]:  ,þÑìÔêþÖëÖc  But its midrashic explanation is  BLÖþÐðÌôe
 as opposed to what He said to him  Bñ þÔôÖêÓL−ÑtÔñÐk  in Vayikra Rabbah: 44  ,íÖaÔþêÖþКÌiÔîÐa
 in time of anger: “Go down,” 2  ,"ðÑþCÓñ,, ½Ô¼ÔkÔí³Ô¼ÐLÌa  [öÒþÎíÔêêÐþÔiÔî] Aharon saw many things:  ,öÒþÎíÔêíÖêÖþíÑaÐþÔíó−ÌþÖëÐc
