              “Go from your land, from your birthplace, £EÐzÐðÔñB ÞnÌôe 'EЮÐþÔêÞÑô §EÐñ-CÓñ      Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. :±ÓþÞÖêÖí-³Óêe'êÐñÌôe e£ëÐþe e'þÐt
                                                                                                       2. Your fear and terror will be upon ñÔ¼ƒíflÓ−ÐíÞÌ−·óÓ×ÐzÌìÐîó¥Ó×ÎêÞÔþBôe .ë
                        and from your father’s house, E−¢ÌëÖê³−¤ÑaÌôe
               [and go] to the land that I will show you. :DÞÓêÐþÔêþ'ÓLÎê±Óþ£ÖêÖí-ñÓê                      every wild beast of the earth, ±Óþ flÖêÖí³¤ÔiÔì-ñÖk
                  2. I will make you into a great nation, ñB flðÖb−B¤èÐñ·EÐNÓ¼ÞÓêÐî.ë                  and upon every bird in the heavens. óÌ−¢ÖôÖMÔí¹B¤¼-ñÖkñ£Ô¼Ðî
             I will bless you and make your name great; E¢ÓôÐLí£ÖñÐcÔèÎêÞÔî flEÐ×Óþ¤ÖëÎêÞÔî                 All that creeps on the ground, í§ÖôÖðÎêÞÖíN«ÒôÐþÌzþ ¶ÓLÎê»ñÒ×Ða
                          and you will be a blessing. :íÞÖ×ÖþÐaí£Ñ−ÐíÞÓî                                      and all the fish of the sea, ó£ÖiÔí−'ÑèÐc-ñÖ×Ðëe
                                                                                                              are given into your hands. :eòÞÖzÌòó'Ó×ÐðÓ−Ðë

                         It is there that I will make you  EÐNÓ¼ÓêóÖL

          [whereas] here you will not merit having children. 2  .ó−ÌòÖëÐñíÓ×Bï íÖzÔê−ÌêöêÔk

                                                                                                        [Meaning:] none of them shall cease  íÓlÑêñÖ×ešÐ½ÐõÌ−êG
               [2] I will make you into a great nation. 4  .ìBãÈâ éBâÀìEÀNÆòÆàÀå [á]
                                                                                                           from taking their natural course.  :öÖþÐð̽ÐkèÑíÔòгÌíÐlÌô
                      Since traveling causes three things:  :ó−ÌþÖëÐðíÖ¾GÐLÌñ³ÓôÓþBè CÓþÓcÔíÓL−ÌõÐñ
                         It inhibits the birth of children,  íÖ−ÐëÌþÐîíÖ−ÐþÌt³Ó¬Ó¼ÔôÐô                             [2] Your terror. 190  .íÆëÀzÄçÀå [á]
                            and decreases one’s wealth  öBôÖnÔí³Óê³Ó¬Ó¼ÔôÐôe                    [Means:] “your terror,” as in: “You see terror.” 191  .³Ô³ÎìeêÐþÌz :BôÐk,óÓ×гÔô−ÑêÐî
                              and lessens one’s fame,  ,óÑMÔí³Óê³Ó¬Ó¼ÔôÐôe                      The Aggadah, [however, explains it] as “life.” 192  ,³eiÔì öBLÐñ:íÖðÖbÔêÐî
             therefore, these three blessings were necessary.  ,eñÖlÔí ³B×ÖþÐa¾GÖLÐñšÔšÐïeí CÔ×Ðñ  [I.e.,] as long as even a one-day old infant is alive  −Ôì BôB− öÓa šBò−ÌzÓLöÔôÐïñÖkÓL
          He [God], promised him children, wealth and fame. 5  :óÑMÔíñÔ¼Ðî öBôÖnÔíñÔ¼Ðî ,ó−ÌòÖaÔíñÔ¼ Bì−̬ÐëÌíÓL  you do not have to watch it  BþÐôÖLÐñC−ÌþÖ®íÖzÔêö−Ñê
                                                                                                           from [being harmed by] rodents.  ,ó−ÌþÖaÐ×Ô¼ÖíöÌô
                                  I will bless you.  .EÀëÆøÈáÂàÇå
