 to wait for him until he will run  ±eþÖiÓLðÔ¼Bñö−ÌzÐôÔíÐñ  and in the presence of all his brothers î−£ÖìÓê-ñÖ×−'ÑòÐt-ñÔ¼Ðî                                                       BERESHIT

 Though this is written after óÖ³êÖþКÌñ±ÖþÖiÔî, 33  ,óÖ³êÖþКÌñ±ÖþÖiÔîþÔìÔê ëe³ÖkÓL−ÌtñÔ¼¹ÔêÐî
 [nevertheless,] the conversation [with God] preceded it.  ,íÖ³Ð−ÖíöÑ×ÖñóÓðBš íÖþ−ÌôÎêÖí

 who worship the dust of their feet,  ,óÓí−ÑñÐèÔþšÔëÎêÔñó−ÌîÎìÔzÐLÌnÓL  as is written [concerning Yishmael]:  :ëe³ÖkÓLBôÐk
 and he was particular not to allow  ½−ÌòÐ×ÔíÐñêHÓL ð−ÌtКÌíÐî  “He settled in the wilderness of Paran  ,öÖþêÖtþÔaÐðÌnÐaëÓLÑ−Ôî

 have preceded Yefes’birth by twenty years, for Yefes was 100 years old at the Flood. You can calculate this from the  [Meaning:] everyone will hate him  B³Bê ö−ÌêÐòBN ñÒkÔí
 fact that Noach was 500 when his first son,Yefes, was born (6, 32) and 600 at the Flood (7, 6). (See Rashi above 5,  and will attack him.  :Ba ö−ÌþÖbгÌôe

 commentaries, however, do succeed in finding allusions to the second explanation in Ber. Rab. However, in Shabbos
