                                     and the stars :ó−ÞÌëÖ×B ÞkÔí³£ÑêÐî                                      that these were [created] first.  ,eôÐðÖšelÑêÓLþÔôBñ
                                                                                                              For if that was the intention,  ,CÔk ³BþBíÐñêÖaóÌêÓL
                               17. Elohim set them ó−£ÌíGÍêó§Ö³Òêö'ÑzÌiÔî .ï−
                                                                                                                  it should have written,  ëBzÐ×ÌñBñíÖ−Öí
                         in the canopy of the heaven óÌ−¢ÖôÖMÔíÔ¼−¤ÌšÐþÌa                              “At first God created the heavens,” etc.  ,’îèî óÌ−ÔôÖMÔí³ÑêêÖþÖaíÖòBLêÌþÖa
                             to illuminate the earth, :±ÓþÞÖêÖí-ñÔ¼þ−£ÌêÖíÐñ                      For the word ³−ÌLêÑþ never appears in Scripture  êÖþКÌnÔa³−ÌLêÑþEÐñö−ÑêÓL
                   18. to rule in the day and the night, íÖñÐ− flÔlÔëe óB¤iÔa·ñÒLÐôÌñÐî .ì−      except when it is annexed to the following word.  .î−ÖþÎìÔêÐlÓLíÖë−ÑzÔñ šeëÖð Bò−ÑêÓL

      “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, í¢ÖiÔìLÓõ¤Óò±Óþ£ÓLóÌ− flÔnÔíe¤®ÐþÐLÌ−  [We find] similarly, “Ô¼ÑLBíÐa’íþÓaÌc³ÔñÌìÐz,” as if to say,  ,þÔôBñÐk,Ô¼ÑLBíÐa’íþÓaÌc³ÔlÌìÐz ,Bñ íÓôBðÐî

                               [16] Great lights. 56  .íéÄìÉãÀbÇäúÉøÉàÀnÇä [æè]               that these [i.e., heaven and earth] were created first,  ,eêÖþÐëÌòíÖlÌìÐzelÑêÓL
                             They were created equal  eêÐþÐëÌòó−ÌîÖL                                          and its interpretation is that  ,BLeþÑõe
                     but then, the moon was diminished  íÖòÖëÐlÔíí֬μÔôгÌòÐî                  at the beginning of everything He created these;  ,elÑêêÖþÖañÒkÔí³−ÌLêÑþÐa
                          because it objected by saying:  :íÖþÐôÖêÐîíÖèÐþЬÌwÓLñÔ¼        and that there are [other] such verses that are shortened  óÖòBLÐñó−ÌþÐvÔšÐnÓL ³BêÖþКÌôEÐñLÑ−Ðî
                          “It is impossible for two kings  ó−Ì×ÖñÐô−ÑòÐLÌñþÖLÐõÓê−Ìê                            omitting a word, such as,  BôÐk,³ÔìÔêíÖë−Ñzó−̬μÔôÐôe
                        to rule with the same crown.” 57  :ðÖìÓêþÓ³Ó×ÐëeLÐnÔzÐLÌiÓL              “For [it] did not shut the doors of my womb,” 14  ,−ÌòЬÌë−ѳÐñÔcþÔèÖ½êG−Ì k
