                           And he replied, “Yaakov.” :ë ÞҚμÞÔ−þÓôê£ÒiÔî                                6. Eisov took his wives, his sons, î−¤ÖòÖa-³ÓêÐîî− …ÖLÖò…-³Óêî ”ÖNѼì¤ÔwÌiÔî.î
                             29. He [the man] said, þÓôê†ÕiÔî .¬×                              his daughters, all the people of his household, ›B³−Ña³B ¤LÐõÔò-ñÖk-³ÓêÐî ‡î−Ö ³ÒòÐa-³ÓêÐî
       “No longer will your name be spoken of as Yaakov, EÐôÌL·ðB¼ þ'ÑôÖêÞÑ−·ëҚμÞÔ−ê¥G  BERESHIT          his livestock, all his animals, B †zÐôÓíÐa-ñÖk-³ÓêÐîeí¤ÑòКÌô-³ÓêÐî

                   [Meaning:] concede to me the blessings  ³B×ÖþÐaÔíñÔ¼−ÌñíÑðBí                                for them to live together. î¢ÖcÐìÔ−³Óë¤ÓMÌô
                      with which my father blessed me, 64  ,−ÌëÖê−ÌòÔ×ÎþÑaÓL

                 God will reveal Himself to you in Beis Eil,  ñÑê³−ÑëÐa E−ÓñÑêíÓñÐèÌòí"ÖaÖwÔíÓL               and was fathered by Eliphaz  ,íÖ−ÖíïÔõ−ÌñÍêöÓëe
                              and change your name,  EÐôÌL³Óê ¹−ÌñÎìÔôe                                    who came upon his father’s wife,  ,î−ÌëÖê³ÓLÑêñÔ¼êÖaÓL
                           and, there, He will bless you  ,EÓ×ÎþÖëÐô êeí óÖLÐî                              Oholivomoh, the wife of Eisov,  ,îÖNѼ³ÓLÑêíÖôÖë−ÌñÏíÖêñÓê
                              and I, too, will be there  íÓ−ÐíÓêóÖL−ÌòÎêÔî                          for he is listed among the chiefs of Eliphaz.  ïÔõ−ÌñÍê−ÑõelÔêó̼ −eòÖô êeí −ÑþÎíÓL

           and there He will speak with us,” 66  [which means]  ,eòÖn̼þÑaÔðÐ−óÖLÐî
                                                                                                      [I.e.,] because of the bill of indebtedness  ëBì þÔ¬ÐL−ÑòÐtÌô
             “Wait for me until He will speak with us there.”  ,óÖLeòÖn̼þÑaÔðÐiÓLðÔ¼−ÌñöÑzÐôÔí
                                                                                                                 [implied] in the decree:  ³Ôþ−ÑïÐbñÓL
                                                                                                  “That your descendants will be foreigners,” 196  ,"EμÐþÔïíÓ−ÐíÌ−þÑb−Ìk&
      63 This could not mean literally “Bless me” because the angel did not respond by blessing him, but, instead, changed      197

      his name. (S.C.)  64  The Zohar explains that had Yaakov been asking for a blessing, he would have used the future
      tense −ÌòÑ×ÎþÖëÐz—bless me. The use of −ÌòÖzÐ×ÔþÑa, in the past tense indicates that Yaakov was referring to his father’s blessings
