BROOKLYN BEDFORD STUYVESANT’S GARDEN PROJECT
Our Club is transforming two plots on
Herkimer Street to create a neighbor-
hood garden for vegetables and herbs.
One plot is still being cultivated for
planting. The committee finished prepa-
ration on the other plot and began
planting on May 24, 2021. On-going
updates will be released. DGE Anthony
B. Cochran leads this project. It is my
understanding that other Lions Club will
also develop some of the other plots on
Herkimer Street.

BROOKLYN TRANSITION RE-
VISITS
ENVIRONMENTAL LEGACY
PROJECT
On Saturday, May 22, 2021, Brooklyn
Transition Lions gathered with friends and
family members at the Harry Maze Play-
ground in Brooklyn. They cleaned,
weeded scraped and repainted the park
benches.
Special attention was given to one of the
benches which is the Club’s Legacy Pro-
ject, in recognition of the Lions Centennial
Celebration
