                                 BROOKLYN BEDFORD STUYVESANT’S GARDEN PROJECT

Our Club is transforming two plots on
Herkimer Street to create a neighbor-
hood garden for vegetables and herbs.
One plot is still being cultivated for
           planting. The committee finished prepa-
ration on the other plot and began
           planting on May 24, 2021. On-going
updates will be released. DGE Anthony
           B. Cochran leads this project. It is my
understanding that other Lions Club will
also develop some of the other plots on
           Herkimer Street.

Transition Lions gathered with friends and
family members at the Harry Maze Play-
            ground in Brooklyn. They cleaned,
weeded scraped and repainted the park
            benches.

Special attention was given to one of the
benches which is the Club’s Legacy Pro-
ject, in recognition of the Lions Centennial
            Celebration
