The District encourages each Lions club to have a membership drive in the
month of March. Membership Chairs and President along with their clubs can organize this event. The more members we have the more service we can do. An event like this can show what Lions do in your community. Set Goals to have positive growth for your club this year. “We can do”.
In our Centennial Service Challenge clubs are challenged to organize at least one service project in the area of (1) Engaging the youth, (2) Sharing the vision, (3) Diabetes, (4) Relieving the Hunger, and (5) Protecting the Environment. PDG Mark Dean the District GST with the District Governor has been working at each Cabinet Meeting to have something that will help your club with service. If your club participates in all cabinet meeting projects and reported the service, your club will earn Centennial Banner Patches. At the March 24th Cabinet Meeting please bring all of your used eye glasses. Thank you to Lion Gene LeFevers the district TRERC coordinator who will provide boxes for them. Please report your club’s activities each month.
Unfortunately, I can’t take the credit for this, but I read it somewhere: “Communicating is a two-way Street” how true it is. Its’ something we do every day, if we do not communicate effectively that causes problems.
