6.4.4 Light signals and signals in the event of an accident

For this subject, you must also know light signals for aircraft from a control

tower, as well as signals for aircraft from people who have had an accident and

want to signal overflying aircraft.

6.4.4.1 Signals from the ground to aircraft in the air

You acknowledge a signal by:
• During the day:

wing tilting (not necessary if you are on base or final)

• At night:

turn the landing lights on and off twice, if fitted, otherwise the navigation

lights will turn on and off twice.
