sedang mengikuti program PDPP Ambilan Jun20 di IPGK Kent. Metodologi kajian
adalah mod kaedah bercampur. Data dikutip secara atas talian melalui penulisan
laporan refleksi tentang perlaksanaan PBD di sekolah masing-masing. Data
dianalisis secara deskriptif dan kualitatif. Dapatan kajian mengesan, isu dan
cabaran utama yang dihadapi oleh guru-guru interim di IPGK Kent bagi
melaksanakan PBD dalam norma baru semasa pandemik wabak Covid-19 adalah
dari sudut tahap kesediaan guru tersebut. Kebanyakan guru interim menghadapi
kecelaruan, ketidakyakinan dan stres semasa melaksanakan PdPR dan PBD.

ONLINE PROJECT BASED LEARNING OF CHEMISTRY DURING COVID-19
PANDEMIC

The Covid-19 outbreak in Malaysia and other countries all around the world
requires students to study at home and engage in online learning. In this research,
the online Project-Based Learning (PBL) is applied, which facilitates students to
learn in online learning and enables them to solve real-world problems in their way.
Its difficulty level is moderate, and they can be performed at home. Thus, they are
especially suited for teaching in a social-distance context, such as during the
COVID-19 pandemic. The online PBL were designed to exemplify the main
concepts of acid-base and neutralization, using a household substances. This study
used a descriptive qualitative method, which involved 36 form 4 students in from
SMK Ave Maria Convent, Ipoh. The data was collected through online observation,
product assessment, interviews, and process. The project that the students did was
prepared a natural acid-base indicators and design an experiment on neutralization
using a household substances. There was no face-to-face interaction of doing
project assignments but through online discussion. At the end of PBL a
questionnaire instruments in accordance with indicators of resilience which were
then processed statistically to answer the problem formulation in this study. The
results showed that Students could actively participate in learning activities and got
learning results above the minimum criteria value. In conclusion, online PBL can be
an alternative learning approach for a positive influence on students’ resilience and
a growth mind-set during the pandemic.
