4.1.2 Proprietary products responsibilities per PC

The responsibility for the proprietary products is under full responsibility of the related
Product Center as shown below (status 25.04.2018).

Nevertheless, especially in cases of purchasing some products from external
suppliers, it is suitable to perform the purchasing process directly from the location,
which has the demand and is not related to a Product Center directly. For those is
agreed the differentiation between central PC Purchasing and local purchase
departments in countries, which act in strict compliance with the following rules:
 Listed suppliers list is done and maintained by PC under a common format
 Purchase policy is done and maintain by PC under a common format
 No creation of local supplier is allowed without the green light of PC
 No more creation of local articles is accepted
 New article number will be given by PC, creation will be done locally
 Drawing creation will be done centrally
 Central purchase department must work on his reactivity to fullfill customer
commitment (2 weeks for a quotation) and avoid local activities
 Local Purchase department send quarterly report activly to Centrale Purchase
department of the PC under a common format
 PC organizes yearly face to face meeting PC/country purchase to improve the
process
The mid-term perspective aims definition of the responsibility for purchasing only by
the dedicated PC.
