zova resistance to bosses, to the AKP, to monopolies and to impe-
rialism continue. The bosses, the Somuncu family, are continuing
to struggle against the workers and attack them. They have made
a number of objections to the workers getting hold of the machin-
ery and it passing into their ownership. They are stringing things
out. They have opened court proceedings against workers. They
have had a revolutionary sentenced to a fine. Not content with ex-
ploiting workers, the bosses are continuing to attack them.
The Kazova workers are resisting bosses, the AKP and the mo-
nopolies in this way. The resistance is continuing to learn and to
teach.
The Kazova workers had made a promise when emptying the
factory they had occupied. This promise was that they would pro-
duce inexpensive and good quality sweaters for the people. They
kept the promise that they had made. To get inexpensive and good
quality sweaters to the people we can say they set up a sales centre
but what they opened was not really a store. Work started at the
address named DIRENKAZOVA – DIH SWEATER AND CUL-
TURE in the Central neighbourhood of Sisli, on Hanimefendi
Street No.4 off Abide i-Hurriyet Avenue, ISTANBUL. From this
place, inexpensive and good quality sweaters would reach the peo-
ple. At the same time, this would be a centre of resistance just as
it had been born from resistance. Besides a sales centre it was
turned into an art centre that would inform people about resist-
ance. The lower flow of the sales area was turned into a culture
centre. The workers put plants into the basement area and turned
it into a garden. A completely concrete-covered area was plastered
with Horasan mortar, flowers and flowerpots were added, and a
