Kazova Workers’ “Delight” With Machines

The Kazova workers were not paid their wages last February
and some of them were also fired without compensation, and in

the dispute that arose it was decided by a court to sequester the
machines and hand them over to the workers against their wage
and seniority compensation.

Because of the sale of the building, 12 workers took the ma-
chines to Kagithane, stating that they planned to establish a co-
operative in order to manufacture sweaters there. Under the
supervision of police and bailiffs they loaded the machines onto

lorries with the help of a winch and took the machines there.

Kazova worker Bulent Unal made a statement in front of the
factory: “: “We add something new to the enthusiasm we have al-
ready felt. At the moment the Kazova workers have confiscated
their machines. This is the victory of our nine months of struggle.
We cannot express our enthusiasm over this victory. But this is
just the start. We will continue to expose the Kazova bosses Umit
