about our resistance and also sell the sweaters we produce to en-
sure solidarity.

22 August 2013 Thursday

Today is the 176th day of the resistance. Until afternoon not

too many people came. In the afternoon a letter came from Free
Prisoner Erkan Sonmez, held in Tekirdag No.2 F-Type Prison.
They wrote that they were following our resistance closely and
wished us success. In the evening we talked with our friends about
production. There was an exchange of ideas about problems and
solutions and the tradition of resistance. At 9 pm, friends from
the Central (Merkez) neighbourhood resistance visited us. We

chatted about the resistance.

23 August 2013 Friday – 177th day

A new sequestration comes in every day, not just from work-
ers but from firms that the Kazova Knitting bosses have deceived.
On Friday 23 August at 12 noon lawyers and bailiffs sent by Deren
Kimya (Chemicals) came to pursue a debt for 3,500 TL. We said
we would not let them in to carry out an assessment. We spoke to
their accountant by telephone, we said we were resisting for our

rights here and we could not let a lawyer inside. We said that if
the police allowed a face-to-face confrontation we would make
clear what the company had done. Then the lawyers turned back.

In the afternoon friends from the Abbasaga Forum came to
visit. They said they wanted to make a short documentary for the
Internet. We accepted and gave an interview. Later on we drank
tea and chatted.
