uct of resistance. There was great interest in them among people
going to the concert. We held lengthy conversations with people
while selling sweaters as we sought solidarity and we also handed
out leaflets. We took down our stalls quite late in the evening as
the concert came to an end.

16 September 2013 Monday

We had a quiet day with nobody coming or going from our
resistance tent. In the afternoon our friends changed the rota for
the night shift and then resumed production.

17 September 2013 Tuesday

This morning we brought thread to the factory. We selected

the threads that were I the colours we needed. In the afternoon a
plainclothes policeman from Sisli police station came and said the
person buying the factory had applied to the mayor’s office for it
to be emptied. He showed his papers and said he would come on
Thursday.

During the day there were not a lot of people coming and
going. In the evening friends came from the Tatavla forum. We
spoke with our worker friends about the notification and what it

meant and discussed how we would behave.

18 September 2013 Wednesday

As was the case every Wednesday, we gathered at Sisli mosque
and marched to the factory. People in the neighbourhood showed
their support with applause. This week workers from Sisli munic-
ipality also gave support. Later on we drank tea and chatted with
them at our tent.
