the face of this event you do not move even a muscle, then you are at least
as guilty as your father and older brother. We will continue to come here
every week and carry out actions, stepping them up, to expose what is hap-
pening. We hope that you will not take sides with your father and older
brother in taking away the rights of workers” they said.
Kazova Textile Workers Marched In Sisli
The Kazova textile workers, who were thrown out of work
from the place they had laboured for years without being given
what they had earned by the sweat of their brow, are continuing
their actions aimed at defending their rights from their bosses.
On Wednesday 26 June, at 1 pm, they came together in front
of Sisli mosque and opened a banner with the inscription “We
will not let the bosses of Kazova Textiles, Umit Somuncu and
Mustafa Umut Somuncu, take away our rights” and they marched
with it to the factory. When they got to the factory they chanted
the slogan “We are workers, we are right, we will win, we will win
by resisting, we won’t let Umit Somuncu take away our rights, we
don’t want charity, we want our rights” and read out a press state-
ment at the factory.
Kazova Textile Workers Have Occupied The Factory
The Kazova textile workers, who for four months have not
been given wages, seniority or notice and were thrown out of work
tried several times to contact their bosses but did not succeed.
Since 29 April the workers have been resisting in front of the fac-
tory by means of a tent they have pitched, they have also contacted
