                  God is a God of order and language reflects this aspect of God’s character.


                  The importance of Grammar/Correct Words in helping us to communicate.

                  Sentences are made up of different kinds of words, e.g. naming, doing,
                        describing.


                  Naming words or nouns are used to name people, places and things.

                Genesis 2:19  ‘Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of
                                  the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man

                                  to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called
                                  each living creature, that was its name.’

                  Adam was the first human being to use nouns to name the animals.


            Way to Work (Means)

                1.  Discuss the importance of language/words in communication. Give the children

                     some instructions using either sign language or using gestures. Discuss how
                     much more challenging it is to respond to such instructions compared to
                    speech.

                2.  Speak some sentences in other languages and ask the children if they

                    understand.  If there are children from other countries in the class they could
                    speak a few  sentences in their first language.
