Jason Wasylien learns how to guide a galloping thoroughbred around the dirt track at Olds Agriculture grounds in Alberta. Jason is a student of the Certified Exercise Rider & Jockey School at Olds College in Olds, Alberta. The program is sponsored in part by Horse Racing Alberta and the Alberta HBPA. Originally from Edmonton, Jason, who had never touched a horse, found his way to the racetrack two years ago. The 27-year-old has aspirations of becoming a jockey and says that the course is great and that he hopes to be race riding by the end of the Edmonton meet this year.
