ICS Siebel 8.1 and Master Template Overview

 When an advisor creates a new VIN
 Siebel will kick off an interface with GWM to validate the
VIN.

 This process is automatic; you do not need to take any
additional steps.
 During the VIN validation process, a message will
appear in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen
alerting you to the validation process:
 “Please wait while your VIN is being validated.” If the
VIN is not or cannot be validated at this time, Siebel will
still allow it to be entered into the SR.
 Simply click OK on the error message.
 Double check the VIN to make sure it is correct.

After the vehicle has been associated to the customer
 Associate the vehicle to the SR
o Click the “Service Request” tab
o The SR Number link to return to the Service Request
o (SR) screen
