Brockport to Newark

About 8 miles east of Brockport is lovely Spencerport, with its outstanding canal side parks, great lunch
options and shops for restocking. Make sure to visit the Spencerport Depot and Canal museum which
has restrooms, showers and a great canal park to just relax
and soak in a sunny day!

Next it’s on to Rochester where every possible service can
be found in abundance. Make sure to cycle to High Falls
(left). From there you can take the Genesee River Trail which
connects back with the ECT.

Next up are the charming towns of Fairport (below) and
Pittsford, both
lovely canal side
villages with great shops, dining and activities. In Pittsford,
we recommend a narrated cruise on the Sam Patch, a rep-
lica packet boat.

Continuing on you’ll want to drop the kickstand at Pal-Mac
Aqueduct park, and stroll along Market Street in Historic Pal-
myra where you can tour vintage shops from a bygone era.

You’ll find the village of Newark charming and inviting, with
great places to eat, lodging, lovely B&Bs, and beautiful canal
side parks and scenery.
