THEATRE II
        Level: II – College Preparatory                                                        Credits: 05
              This course is designed to increase proficiency in the fundamentals of theatre. Students will continue to
        build on the skills they learned in Theatre 1, while expanding their breadth of knowledge and experience. The
        skills focused on during this class will include but not be limited to: long form improvisation, articulation and
        projection workshops, sword combat, Shakespearean scene study, contemporary scene study, playwriting for
        character development, and participation in the annual theatre showcase.
        Pre-requisite: Theatre I

        THEATRE III
        Level: IV – Honors                                                                            Credits: 05
              This course is designed to give students the tools they need to continue on into the professional world of
        theatre. Students will continue to build on skills learned in Theatre 1 and 2, but will now take on leadership roles
        in their class and be responsible for the completion of artistic projects both inside the classroom and for the school
        at large. In this class, students will focus primarily on learning the importance of the 2 minute monologue for
        auditions, how to prepare it, and build an auditioning portfolio as well as a standard theatre resume. The skills
        focused on during this class will include but are not limited to: improvisation as  performance, construction and
        performance of video projects, advanced acting techniques, classical and contemporary monologue workshops,
        styles of acting, and the construction and participation of the annual theatre showcase. This course can be taken

        as a Performing Arts Elective OR a 21  Century Life/Careers Elective. Pre-requisite: Completion of Theatre II

           This course is designed to give students the tools they need to continue on into the professional world of
        theatre. Students will continue to build on skills learned in Theatre 1 and 2, but will now be responsible for the
        completion of artistic projects both inside the classroom and for the school at large. In this class, students will
        focus primarily on learning the basics of auditioning, how to prepare a monologue, perform to get the job, and
        how to prepare a standard theatre resume. The skills focused on during this class will include but are not limited
        to: improvisation as performance, construction and performance of video projects, advanced acting techniques,
        classical and contemporary monologue workshops, styles of acting, and the construction and participation of the

        THEATRE  IV
        Level: IV- Honors                                                                             Credits: 05
            This course is designed to increase proficiency in advanced theatre techniques and prepare students for a
        career  in  theatre.  Students  will  draw  from  what  they  have  learned  from  Theatre  1,  2  and  3  to  further  their
        understanding of theatre terminology and technique as well as apply their knowledge to their own craft. Students
        will  be  given  leadership  roles  in  class  to  direct  other  students’  projects  and  performances  as  well  as  lead
        collaborative teams in the construction of the annual theatre showcase. The skills focused on during this class will
        include but not be limited to: directing techniques from William Ball, historical and abstract design concepts,
        audition techniques for stage and film, individualized directing projects, and construction and participation in the
