was taken before the employee entered service with Company. The
Employee shall choose the amount of leave for a period of 90 consecutive
days or 60 consecutive days. This entitlement is only valid up to five (5)
legitimate surviving children over the duration of the service in Company
and other previous places.
(ii) Maternity leave shall not commence earlier than 30 days before childbirth
or later than the next day after childbirth.
(iii) Absence from work as a result of miscarriage before 28 weeks of the
pregnancy is not deemed as maternity leave but as sick leave.
(iv) A male employee shall be granted paid paternity leave for four (4)
consecutive days limited to three (3) times over the period of service.
6.8 SICK LEAVE
(i) Fully paid Sick Leave shall only be granted with a certificate leave from a
registered medical doctor.
(ii) Sick Leave is in accordance with the Employment Act 1955, all Employees
shall be granted sick leave as follow:

Served less than 2 years 14 days
Serve 2 to 5 years 18 days
Serve 5 years and more 22 days
Sick Leave exceeding the number above after the expiration of the Annual
Leave shall be treated as leave without pay.
A total of sixty (60) days in a year for hospitalization Sick Leave if certified by
a registered medical doctor provided the above amounts shall be deducted
from the amount of Sick Leave taken in item (ii) above.
(iii) An Employee who is absent from work because of Sick Leave that has
been verified by a registered medical doctor but does not inform, or does
not try to inform within 48 hours of his/her absence, then it is considered
as to be absent with reasonable grounds and has violated his/her service
contract. The Employee shall inform in a phone call to or VIA Messaging
system respective Superior or Head of Department.
