DESCRIPTION, TEAM TERM PROJECT
TIME DURATION (MAX /MIN) GOAL: 70 minutes / 60 minutes
A student consulting team will undertake one term-long project designed to model a real-life application of the
concepts reviewed in the course. The students should be prepared to present the project to the class during
Final Exams Week.
1. Students will undertake one term-long project designed to model a real-life application of the concepts reviewed in
the course. The project will be prepared to present the project verbally to the class the last week of class.
2. Your presentation will be presented to the client** and instructor the last class session.
3. Your team will be ONE marketing consulting agency for the client. Note, however, each member will be assigned a
particular role in your marketing organization. At the time of the presentation, you will present to the client as one
agency.

þ Your team can meet in-person, or your team can assume each member lives in a different state or country
using virtual/electronic meetings, e.g., ZOOM®.
þ One electronic copy (PowerPoint®) presentation and handout (e.g., Executive Summary; and information
team deems pertinent to the project) will be submitted to the instructor via CANVAS®. Please keep a copy
for your own records.
þ One electronic copy (Word®) market plan report (Two-three pages ownership/section per student, and if
applicable, handout and information team deem pertinent to the project, plus detailed APA references) will be
submitted to the instructor via CANVAS®. Please keep a copy for your own records.
þ If you have an eight-member consulting team, you will present 56 minutes + 5-minute (Q&A) session.
Each member will present for 7 minutes.
þ Professional smart business attire is expected.
þ Students will grade their own and their teammates’ contribution to the project. A student’s project grade will
be adjusted upward or downward according to his or her contribution to the project. A student’s project grade

þ Set-up: The team must be ready to present prior to the start of class. Please upload your PowerPoint® to
CANVAS® prior to the final class session.
þ Missed assignments cannot be made up. Students with a valid excuse (e.g., medical) for missing the
assignment may make-up by arrangement. Students who miss the assignment deadline without an acceptable
excuse will receive a zero.
