was it a premonitory dream? He was now terrified,
               he could not remember ever being  so afraid  in  his
               whole life. He felt deep inside him that he was going
               to die, that it was his last day, but was it really his last
               day?  Hadn't  he  already  lived  that  day?  He  had  a
               strange feeling of déjà vu.

               “All right, James? You're pale.” Kate's worried voice
               pulled James out of his daydreams...

               “Yes... I'm... I'm fine" James replied weakly.

               “Don't  worry,  it's  going  to  be  okay,"  Kate  said
               tenderly.

                      James smiled at her, and they all set off for the
               forest. The forest had never seemed so threatening to
               him as it had  since he  had heard all those  strange
               stories about it. They entered the forest and followed
               a winding path that slalomed between the trees and
               moss-covered rocks.

                      Suddenly  a  creaking  sound  echoed  in  the
               silence of the forest. Kate gave a small scream that
               was  immediately  muffled  by  her  hand,  which  she
               placed in front of her mouth. They all hid behind a
               rock, terrified. Thomas took a sharp stone from the
               rock at his feet and quietly came out of the hiding
               place,  ignoring  Kate's  silent  protests  who  had
