Other artworks include <Open Doors> which demonstrates solid
formativeness and emotion in stories and <The Scream at Noon>
that shows a paradoxical situation and presents Munch’s <The
Scream> which overlaps with the suggestive event. In this way, the
artist utilizes the boundary of paintings and literary works based on
stories with his own sensibility so as to make us swim in the ocean
of thinking. What makes it more interesting is that his satirical view
of the society has been consistent for a long time. Another working
method that we should note in this exhibition is that the background
is completed with multiple techniques according to the theme called
‘Uncanny’ which is an extension of his work.
As if the traditional hair brush for women beautifully brushes the
warp and weft threads of clothes which represent the people’s rela-
tion, joy and sorrow, and life’s absurdities, all works are complete.
Professor Jang does not raise his voice to convey the stories, but
elaborates what we should share and think in a soft voice with the
rhetoric expression.
This is why we go back to his artworks and rethink about his in-
tention. Just like <Cheer up> where people hold hands in different
poses is how Professor Jang sees the reality in an eccentric way. 요즘 사람들 91×108cm Acrylic on Canvas
