Villa Vermonte – Guest Information

                    Maintenance and Repairs

Villa Vermonte is privately owned and the owner is
responsible for contracting a management company who take
care of the maintenance and housekeeping service, including
the pool cleaning and gardening. The management company
for Villa Vermonte is Colin Skinner Services and their office
and emergency contact numbers are shown on the contacts
                                                list on page 3.

The property is checked before you arrive to ensure that
everything is in order. Should any problems occur during
your stay you need to report it, in the first instance to the
management company who will send either their own staff or,
if necessary, a specialist contractor to deal with it.

                   Electricity and Appliances

The voltage here in Portugal is 220 volts. You will require 2 pin plugs, or a continental
adapter in order to use any electrical items brought from home. At the beginning of each
summer season we leave a number of adapters around the house, in the bedrooms,
kitchen and lounge but unfortunately they normally get taken – so we apologise if you
                   cannot find them.

Power failure -If, as occasionally happens with properties in the Algarve, the electricity
system becomes overloaded, the electricity supply may go off. We advise you to make
yourself familiar with the location of the circuit breaker boxes and trip switches so that
you will be able to re-set the relevant switch if this happens.

There are circuit breaker boxes in 5 locations in the house each controlling different areas
of the house and garden. There is a list in each box of what power circuits and lighting
                   each switch controls.

                   - Main switchboard – cupboard to the right by front door
                   - Kitchen – cupboard in the luggage store under the stairs
                   - 1st Floor – behind the first picture on the upstairs landing
                   - Basement – in the laundry room
                   - Outside pool room – on the left hand wall.

A torch is located in the Main Switchboard cupboard.

If the problem persists, you may need to switch off some appliances that you are using,
                   particularly the air-conditioning.

If you are uncertain how to use any electrical appliance please refer to the operating
guides which are in the Appliances Manual on the shelf in the kitchen.

                   Refrigeration

There is a larder fridge in the kitchen and an American style fridge freezer in the store
cupboard below the stairs. This fridge freezer also has an automatic ice maker but it is
necessary to fill the container inside the right hand door with water to make the ice. An
information manual showing how the fridge freezer operates is on top of the cabinet.
There is a second fridge in the basement at the bottom of the stairs.
