Villa Vermonte – Guest Information

Air Conditioning and Heating

The villa has a ducted air-conditioning and heating system with separate controls in each
main room. Cooling and heating in the bathrooms is shared with, and controlled by, the
temperature set in the bedrooms. The controls are either panels in the wall or, in the
case of the kitchen and hall, remote control units mounted in holders on the wall. During
the summer all these controls are pre-set to maximum cooling so all you need to operate
is the on/off switch on each unit.

For other settings which allow you to change the temperature and fan speed you need to
refer to the Appliances Manual in the kitchen. We ask you to follow these simple steps in
order to ensure the maximum effectiveness of the cooling system.

Please do not leave windows and/or patio doors open when in use. Please do not
leave the air conditioning on when you are not in the villa.

Please be sensible and note that the air conditioning system is not designed to be
operated 24 hours a day on maximum output. Also this can potentially overload
the electricity circuits and trip out the circuit breaker.

Hair Dryers

Hair dryers are provided in each bedroom either in the drawer in the dressing table,
console table or chest of drawers.

Laundry

Whilst the maid service provides for the laundry of bed
linen, towels and tea towels you will obviously have
personal laundry during your stay. We have provided
laundry baskets for this in each bathroom.

There is a fully equipped laundry room in the basement,
which is exclusively for personal laundry as all the maid
service laundry is taken away for washing. The laundry
room has both a washing machine and tumble dryer as
well as an ironing board. Manuals for the washing machine and dryer are in the laundry
room. For drying laundry outside you will also find a folding washing rack and pegs in the
pool room off the pool terrace.

Television, Home Cinema, Playstation

Villa Vermonte is provided with cable television in each bedroom, the kitchen and the
library. Each TV has an Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) showing all English and foreign
channels as well as separate remote controls. The selection of channels varies slightly with
each brand of TV provided and includes some high definition channels. All have the main
BBC and commercial channels plus BT and Sky Sports.

The large full HD TV in the library also offers some HD channels and is part of the home
cinema system in that room which provides an upscaling DVD/CD player and surround
sound system. Full information on operating the TV recorder and the Sony DVD player is
on an information sheet on a shelf on the bookcase plus there are equipment manuals for
more detailed information. Please do not however change the configuration of the TV or
DVD setup as this has been set for optimum convenience and performance. There is also
a Playstation connected to this TV.

There is also a large collection of film DVD’s and music CD’s in the library for your
enjoyment.
