Villa Vermonte – Guest Information
Your Security
Quinta do Lago is patrolled 24 hours per day by
Vigiquinta uniformed security guards. They also
have a rapid response unit, Team 6, who can
deal with security, fire and medical emergencies.
The control centre is at the entrance to Quinta do
Lago.
During the summer there are also patrols by
local police cycle squads. Both the Algarve and,
in particular, Quinta do Lago is one of the safest
places you could wish to take a holiday with
crime rates one of the lowest in Europe. However, there is a tendency for people on
holiday to forget to take basic precautions so please bear in mind the following:
Whenever you leave the villa, please ensure all windows and doors are closed properly
and wherever possible, close any blinds if you will be out for some time.
You will have been given the instructions with your arrival information on how to set the
alarm and the alarm code. Please set this each time you go out of the villa leaving it
unoccupied. The alarm is linked to Vigiquinta, the Quinta do Lago security company, and
they will respond within a few minutes. If you inadvertently set off the alarm they will
call round and you may need to prove you are eligible to be occupying the villa.
Do not leave cash and valuables lying around unattended particularly near windows and
outside doors.
There is a safe in the villa – please ask the management company where it is located.
Use it for any cash, credit cards and valuables you are not carrying on you.
When outside around the pool area, do not leave doors and windows open on the front or
side of the house.
Do not leave valuables inside the car, or in the boot, when the car is unattended. Keep
the car locked and windows closed. Your travel insurance generally does not cover
luggage or valuables left unattended in a car.
Do not leave valuable items outside or by the pool overnight.
Do not let small children out unaccompanied.
If you have any concerns, please contact Vigiquinta Security on 289 394 494. They will
be pleased to help.
In the unlikely event of a theft, you must advise the police in person at the local police
station in Almancil within 24 hours. The police will not act on telephone or third party
reports. You will need to make a report if you wish to claim for lost items on your
insurance.
If the problem occurs in the villa, call Security first, they will arrange for the police to call
to the house.
Please refer to the back of this Manual for emergency contact numbers in the event of
Lost or stolen credit cards, travellers cheques or mobile phones.
