Villa Vermonte – Guest Information

damage and should it be necessary to drain/repair the pool, the cost of doing so
will be passed on to those responsible.

                      • Please try not to get sun tan lotion in the pool as it leaves scum around the edges.
If you can have a quick shower before getting in the pool, it would be much
                          appreciated.

                      • Please do not remove pool furniture from the pool area to other parts of the garden
                          or even in the house!

Pool lights – the pool can be lit at night but we would be grateful if you did not leave
the lights on all night. The switch for the pool lights is inside the lounge on the right side
of the wall leading to the pool, next to the patio doors.

Pool heating – if you have asked for pool heating this is set to come on during the night
so, for maximum effect, it is essential you put on the pool cover.

                   Garden Maintenance

We hope you agree that Villa Vermonte has a beautiful
garden, but in order to keep it in pristine condition it is
necessary to carry out garden maintenance every
week during your stay. Gardens that are irrigated in
the Algarve grow very rapidly so weekly maintenance
                                                       is essential.

The gardeners usually come every Wednesday, usually
in the morning, but it can vary due to weather
conditions, to carry out routine maintenance, in
particular cutting the lawn, pruning shrubs and weeding. They may also have to make
occasional, short, visits on other days for non-routine matters such as repairing the
irrigation system and watering the pots.

When we have guests staying in the villa the gardeners endeavour to keep the noise and
inconvenience to a minimum, and their visit as short as possible but we must insist they
are allowed to carry out their work.

                   Fountains
The ornamental wall fountain on the pool terrace is pre-set to come on
during the day. Many people like the sound of running water during the hot
day but if you find the sound irritating it can be switched off.

You will find a switch to turn the fountain on or off on the wall to the left of
the fountain. The second fountain in the orange tree grove operates on a
                                  time switch.

                   Noisy Neighbours

Local regulations state: noise cannot be omitted over 70db between the hours of
09.30 am up to 23.59 hrs and no noise is permitted unless a noise licence is applied for
after 23.59hrs. If you are experiencing excessive noise from nearby properties then in
the first instance contact Vigiquinta who will call round to investigate and, if necessary,
                   visit the offending property.
