Ha run Yah ya (Ad nan Ok tar)
... Do not be hard heart ed or tight fist ed to ward your poor
broth er... Give gen er ous ly to him and do so with out a
grudg ing heart; then be cause of this the Lord your God will
bless you in all your work and in ev ery thing you put your
hand to... Therefore I com mand you to be open hand ed to -
ward your broth ers and to ward the poor and needy in your
land. (Deuteronomy, 15:7, 10-11)
Surely he will have no res pite from his crav ing; he can not save
him self by his treas ure. Nothing is left for him to de -
vour; his pros per i ty will not en dure. In the midst of
his plen ty, dis tress will over take him; the full
force of mis ery will come up on him. When
he has filled his bel ly, God will rain down
His blows up on him. (Job, 20:20-23)
Do not eat the food of a stingy man,
do not crave his del i ca cies; for
he is the kind of man who
is al ways think ing
