Workplace Policy), or are threatening or defamatory (See Violence-Free Workplace Policy) or
inaccurate, inappropriate and objectionable if, based on your Social Media site profiles or
postings, You could be perceived as in some way connected with The Police Federal Credit
Union.
d. Not use Your work e-mail address with Sites except LinkedIn or other Sites as permitted by the
Police FCU Electronics Communications Policy.
e. Not post information or recommendations on any deposit or loan product, investment product
or securities.
f. Police FCU does not prohibit employees, volunteers, or contractors from speaking to the
media on their own behalf regarding matters of public concern. If an employee, volunteer, or
contractor is identified as an employee, volunteer, or contractor of Police FCU and speaks to
the media on his/her own behalf (not as a designated spokesperson of Police FCU), then such
employee, volunteer or contractor should make it clear that he opinions expressed are those
of the employee, volunteer, or contractor and not those of The Police FCU.
g. If You identify Yourself as a Police FCU employee, volunteer, or contractor or where it is
apparent that you are a Police FCU Employee, volunteer or contractor including identification
through use of Police FCU e-mail address, on a site, then You must prominently post the
following: “THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL SITE OF THE POLICE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION. THE
OPINIONS EXPRESSED BY PARTICIPANTS ARE THOSE OF THE PARTICIPANTS AND ARE NOT
THOSE OF THE POLICE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION”.
h. You may report any negative postings or media inquiries to the IT Chief Executive at
tdoyle@Policefcu.org or media.relations@Policefcu.org. You must report any unauthorized
disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information on a Social Media Site in accordance with the
Information Security Policy.
Conditions of Use
The following conditions of use apply:
a. The Police FCU takes the use of Social Media seriously and failure to comply with this Policy
may result in legal action and/or disciplinary action, up to and including employment
termination.
b. Potential violations of this policy must be reported to the Human Resources directly or
anonymously.
c. The Police FCU reserves the right to remove any posted comment on any Official Police FCU
Site that is in violation of this Policy. The Credit Union can take such other actions it deems
necessary to remove content from Non-Official Sites.
