BEYOND BASICS
The Ten Elements encompasses four phases which overlap with
progression.
1. Phase One: Basic, foundational structure. Beginning
through Advanced levels
2. Phase Two: Physical. Intermediate through Advanced
levels.
3. Phase Three: Mental. Advanced and lower Black Belt levels
4. Phase Four: Metaphysical. Black Belt
Phases one and two are basic levels for proper and effective
technique and must be understood before progressing to phases
three & four. The Mental and Meta-Physical phases will not be
discussed in this writing.
The ability to return to the form's
exact starting point is an example of
Fine Tuning.
Elements one through five are basic foundational elements to build
the proper structure and are the core basic elements.
Elements six through nine are developmental elements for
learning how to execute the technique properly.
Element ten, Fine Tuning & Understanding are a review to
understand and “tweak” each element and how they relate to each
other. The ability to return to the form's exact starting point is an
example of Fine Tuning.
