It seems as if everyone has an approach to Angling. There are
offensive methods and defensive methods. As a defensive fighter,
I use angling defensively.
Angling is normally used to get off-line of an attack. From a single
On-Guard position, there are six basic directions to move. Three
using the lead leg and three using the rear leg.
Lead Side (lead foot moves)
● Forward and out
● Backward and out
● Backward and pivot
Rear Side (rear foot moves)
● Forward and out
● Out and back
● Circle to the Backside
