Introduction/Warm Up Aerobic warm up of large muscle groups and Progression – Dribble ball back / Wear cone as a hat / Throw and catch
cardiovascular system – tennis ball with 1 clap in-between 3 times before returning to hoop.
This unit will focus on the following: Definitions (from dictionary.com) Progression – Each item is worth a different amount of points E.g. ball worth
Coordination: the ability to use different parts of the body together smoothly 10, cone worth 2, tennis ball worth 1. Students then use mental math's to
    and efficiently. add up score.
"changing from one foot position to another requires coordination and Last match assessment. 5v5’s Tournament - Small sided games
balance"Learning Activities/Teaching Strategies Split group into 6 similar ability teams and put bibs on. Play a maximum of
    1. Set up – Teacher will put the set i.e. the rackets, balls and hoops(on the 5v5. 4 teams will be playing and 2 teams assessing, scorekeeping and
ground) timekeeping. Each match is for 4 minutes then swap over. Teacher to record
    2. Teacher will bring the students from the class in a proper line taking scores on whiteboard (Each team can have a football name E.g. Liverpool,
care of the discipline and will arrange them for the session . England etc). Teacher / TA to referee a game each. 3 points for a win 2
    3. Teacher will make the students do some warm ups and after that he will points for a draw 1 point for a win Bonus point for good play / teamwork /
explain them the session with the DEMO. skill used from previous lessons. Mini presentation – Teacher to announce
    4. Warm up: The nest scores. Idea – Have a trophy to award the winning captain.
    5. Mark out 2 football pitches (In preparation for the tournament).
    6. Spread out up to 15 hoops with a ball, a cone and a tennis balls in each.
    7. Students get with a partner and stand in a hoop (This is their nest).
    8. On teacher’s command students 1 skips or side steps to another hoop to
steal an item. They take it back to their hoop and their partner then
goes to a different hoop to steal. When the whistle goes the game stops
and students count how many items they have in their nest. Most items
       wins.
    Key teaching points / rules:
-You cannot steal from the same hoop twice in a row.
    -You cannot protect your items.
-Slow down when approaching a hoop and check behind you before going
back to your hoop to avoid collisions.
