PARTICULAR ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION

1.5 DESIGN PROPOSALS
1.5.1 Initial Sketch Design
The Electrical Contractor will produce an outline scheme design and cost estimate for review
with the Project Manager based on the proposed project scope, survey and test findings as
applicable.
The design proposal is to be prepared as sketch drawings and notes and will be issued to the
Project Manager together with a copy of the associated inspection report for the Project
Managers comment and/or approval.
The Electrical Contractor will on request attend a meeting with the Project Management
team to discuss the design proposal.
1.5.2 Construction Drawings
The Electrical Contractor will as a minimum, provide the following layout drawings unless
otherwise agreed with the Project Manager:
• 1:50 Layout for the Lighting, Emergency Lighting & Controls
• 1:50 Layout and schematic for the Fire alarms and detection system
• 1:50 Layout and wiring diagrams for the Small power, high and low level
• 1:50 Layout and wiring diagrams for the Till power & general containment, high and low
level
The Contractor will additionally provide single line diagrams for each distribution; these may
be appended to the associated drawing sheet or be collected on a se parate drawing.
Drawings will be produced using the latest edition of AutoCAD, issued and circulated
electronically and registered on McDonalds selected document control system, Aconex.
Where the scope of works is inclusive of a replacement kitchen ceiling or otherwise as
directed by the Project Manager the Electrical Contractor will assist with the production of a
fully co-ordinated reflected ceiling plan for the kitchen showing the following:
• Kitchen lights
• Emergency lights
• Smoke detectors
• Void detection indicators
• Supply and extract grilles
• The location of ceiling tiles required to be accessible for duct cleaning
