time its impression in the soft soil became rock under huge pressure.”

Everyone was very impressed with Harry’s knowledge.

Ellie hadn’t paid much attention to the ammonite but was looking at something
quite different. “Over here”, she shouted excitedly.

Everyone raced over to her to see what was so interesting.

“Looks like a fish to me”, said Bells.

“It is a horrible fish”, said James.

Harry looked at it and ran his fingers along it. He took a step back, scratched

his head and then took a closer look.

“Ellie, what you have got here, if I am not very much mistaken, is an
ichthyosaur which was a marine reptile that lived 65 million years ago,” said
Harry knowledgably.

“What’s a reptile?” said James and Ellie together. “An animal with a scaley

skin” said Harry. “Such as a lizard or a crocodile” said Bells.

Everyone including Grandpa were really impressed with Harry’s knowledge.
“You are amazing”, said Grandpa, “you know far more about dinosaurs than I
do, that’s for sure”.

“Thank you so much for bringing us here, Grandpa, I love it”, said Harry.

“Time for our picnic”, said Granny. Everyone agreed.

They sat down right where they were, admired the ichthyosaur and enjoyed

their lunch.

After lunch Grandpa said he would like to head back to the pickup now as he
had one more surprise.

Cheers of excitement rang out and they packed up their rucksacks quickly and
started on the long walk back to the car.

Once in the pickup, Grandpa set off for Lyme Regis which was not far away.

The gang tried to guess what the next surprise might be.

“Ice creams”, suggested Ellie. “An adventure park”, suggested James. “I
know, a zoo”, suggested Bells.

Harry saw ahead just what he was hoping. “A dinosaur museum”, he cried with
delight.
