ABSTRAK – Persoalan meningkatkan kompetensi guru masih menjadi wacana terkini pendidikan
di Indonesia. Pada saat kompetensi guru terus direformasi, di sisi lain arus teknologi pun kian cepat
bertransformasi. Urgensinya, teknologi informasi dalam bentuk virtual pun akan segera berlangsung. Hal
itu akan berdampak pada penyesuaian kinerja budaya mendidik mahasiswa, calon guru sejarah dalam pola
digitalisasi. Mengapa upaya mereformasi potensi sumberdaya manusia Indonesia mendesak dilaksanakan?
Bagaimana program studi pendidikan sejarah sebagai ujung tombak Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga
Kependidikan (LPTK) merespon transisi budaya? Artikel ini mendeskripsikan pembelajaran formal dan
informal mahasiswa pendidikan sejarah yang terkoneksi dengan perubahan sektor teknologi informatika.
Program apa saja yang dipersiapkan program studi dalam rangka mempertajam tekstur kompetensi calon
guru sejarah. Produk-produk pembelajaran sejarah apa saja yang telah dirancang dan diberdayakan agar
turut mengkonstruksi kompetensi mahasiswa pendidikan sejarah. Tulisan ini merupakan hasil observasi
dan analisa program optimalisasi laboratorium lapangan dan strategi gerakan residensial mahasiswa
program studi pendidikan sejarah. Kedua program tersebut merupakan salah satu solusi mengadaptasi
transformasi teknologi. Kegiatan tersebut dilaksanakan untuk memunculkan sikap mental mahasiswa calon
guru sejarah, karena sikap mental berbasis budaya masih relevan untuk merespon hadirnya kelas virtual.

ABSTRACT – Developing teachers’ competences still become discourse in Indonesian education
nowadays. Teachers’ competences reformed vis a vis with the advanced of technology development. Virtual
information needs to be implemented immediately. This will have an impact on adjusting the cultural
performance of educating students and history teachers in digitalization pattern. Why is the reform of
Indonesia’s human resource urgently needed? How is the history education study program as the spearhead
of the Institute of Education responding to cultural transitions? This article describes formal and informal
learning history education students who are facing the transformation of information technology sector.
What programs are prepared in order to improve the competency of history teachers candidate. History
learning products have been designed and empowered to help construct the competence of history education
students. This paper is the result of observing and analyzing the laboratory optimization program in the
field of history and the residential movement strategy of the history education students. Both programs are
one of the solutions to adapt technology transformation. The activity was carried out to bring up the mental
attitude of prospective history teacher students, because a culture-based mental attitude is still relevant to
respond to the presence of a virtual class.
