The man said, “Dr. Jarvis, you are a professional
man, surely you can suggest something.”
Charlie said, “I guess we could pull them all.”
The man was outraged, and jumped up out of his
chair: “Pull them? Are you crazy? I expect some
professional advice better than that.”
Charlie thought and finally said,
“How about wearing a brown tie?”
There are some things that you just can’t do anything
about — but yet some people expect you to do
something if you’re a professional person.
