while driving home drunk.”
This is not logic, but it is a good
example of legal reasoning.

Expectancy Can Be a Killer
Some people seem to think that lawyers are like
miracle workers. We can’t pull rabbits out of the hat
all the time.
If you get drunk, get in your car,
and try to run someone down,
don’t expect your lawyer to get you off
with an overtime parking fine.
In the law, false expectancy can really be a killer.
I’ve won cases that I knew I should have lost, and I’ve
lost cases I thought I had won.
