National Healthy Lifestyle
The Ministry of Health instituted the National Healthy
Lifestyle Programme to help improve the lifestyle of
Singaporeans in terms of physical, social and mental
well-being.
ITE College West took a step forward to develop a
comprehensive health programme at ITE to raise
awareness and the importance of adopting a healthy
lifestyle for its large cohort of students. The health
kiosk development project was the brainchild of Ms
Choo Puishan, a lecturer at ITE College West and an
NYAA Gold Award holder. In January 2021, the ITE
and Singapore Heart Foundation signed an MOU to Launching of the health kiosk at ITE College West.

NYAA AWARD CEREMONY
NYAA Ceremony in Prison 2021
The National Youth Achievement Award Ceremony
was held on 17 November 2021 at Tanah Merah
Prison. The NYAA Council awarded 33 Gold, 32 Silver
and 17 Bronze Awards to the young offenders. The
theme for NYAA 2021 Ceremony was “Step Up to
Reach Out”: To aspire and dream, excel through
learning and pave your path.
Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Education, was
the Guest-of-Honour at the 2021 NYAA Ceremony NYAA Award Presentation Ceremony 2021 graced by Mr
at Tanah Merah Prison Cluster A. Mr John Ting, Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Education at Tanah Merah
Prison.
NYAA Chairman, Mr Eugene Seah and Dr Ken Ong
joined Minister Chan Chun Sing at the ceremony. In
addition, Mr Alec Ang, NYAA Treasurer, represented
the Singapore Adventurers’ Club at the ceremony.
Mr Edward Chia, Member of Parliament for Holland-
Bukit Timah GRC and Mr Sim Hwee Cher, a former
partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers and NYAA
Council Member, graced the NYAA Ceremony at
Tanah Merah Prison Cluster B and C.
NYAA Bronze & Silver Award Ceremony 2021
A virtual NYAA Bronze and Silver Award Ceremony
at the Meridian Secondary School was graced by Mr
Lawrence Wong, Minister for Education. Minister
Wong delivered a very inspiring speech to motivate
the students to continue their excellent work and
wish them well during the COVID-19 pandemic. More
than 300 students received the NYAA Bronze and NYAA Virtual Award Ceremony graced by Mr Lawrence
