VISITATIONS
• Visit by a Member of the International
Olympic Committee
Ms Zhang Hong, a Member of the International
Olympic Committee (IOC), visited Singapore during
the IOC’s first-ever Olympic Esports Week. During
her visit, she met with the NYAA Executive Director
for breakfast and expressed interest in collaborating
with NYAA to promote sports within the NYAA’s
Healthy Living Component. Representing China at
the IOC, Ms Zhang pledged to strengthen people-
to-people relations between China and Singapore
through sports.
• Visit by the Deputy Secretary of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman
Ms Aisha Saha Alkharusi, Secretary of the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, visited
Singapore for the STAR Conference in June 2023.
During her visit, she called on the NYAA Executive
Director and provided feedback on the NYAA’s
leadership training programme for females in Oman.
Ms Aisha expressed gratitude for the partnership and
cooperation with Oman and praised the outstanding
trainer from Singapore. She was also honoured with
a private lunch at the Istana hosted by President
Halimah Yacob.
• Visit by the Institute of Technology, India
NYAA Singapore enjoys close relations with many
educational institutes in India. A delegation from
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Chennai, led by
Dr. Anuradha A, Senior Professor at VIT University’s
School of Business, visited NYAA Singapore. The
undergraduates and Masters candidates from VIT
found the visit beneficial. They gained insights into
the true meaning and purpose of leadership and
service, which inspired them to contribute their
talents and leadership upon returning to India.
• Visit by a Delegation from the Ethiraj
College for Women
A 17-member delegation from Ethiraj College for
Women in Chennai, India, visited Singapore in March
2023. During their visit, the delegation attended a talk
on leadership by Mr. James Soh, Executive Director
of the NYAA Council, at the NYAA Secretariat, where
the students engaged in discussions on leadership for
women.
