• Visit by the Former Vice-President of Peru
NYAA facilitated a visit by H.E. Raul Diez Canseco
Terry, former Vice-President of Peru, to Singapore
in October 2023. During the visit, the former Vice
President met with Mr Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime
Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic
Policies, to discuss strengthening relations between
Singapore and Peru in research, food security, AI,
data security, and youth exchanges. The Peruvian
delegation also discussed the APEC Youth Summit in
Peru in 2024 with NYAA.

Visit to Singapore by BAP Union of Peru
The BAP Union, the largest Peruvian Naval Training
Tall Ship, visited Singapore at the Changi Naval Base
in October 2023. The visit coincided with the visit of
former Vice-President Raul Diez Canseco Terry. NYAA
Singapore, which chairs the APEC Youth Summit and
is a close partner of Peru, was invited as honoured
guests. Captain Jose Luis, Commanding Officer of
BAP Union, hosted a welcome reception for over 100
guests, including ambassadors and Singapore naval
officials, strengthening ties between Singapore and
Peru.

• Visit by the President of the Cantonal
Government of St. Gallen and Minister of
Education, Switzerland
H.E. Stefan Kolliker, President of the Cantonal
Government of St. Gallen and Minister of Education
of the Canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland, visited
Singapore in October 2023—the Swiss delegation
called on Mr Desmond Lee, Minister for National
Development and Minister of Social Services. Minister
Kolliker thanked Minister Lee for his keynote speech
at the 7th St. Gallen Symposium Singapore Forum
and discussed enhancing bilateral relations between
Switzerland and Singapore.
