EXPERIENCE
Mr. Sbacchi serves as Chief Structural Engineer for TFMoran Inc. and has 25 years of experience in
structural design and analysis for a variety of state and private clients. His experience is with building
projects of all types including commercial, industrial, educational and residential. Prior to joining TFM,
Mr. Sbacchi was Vice President and Chief Structural Engineer for a local engineering firm.
Selected project experience includes:
• Veterans Housing, Harbor Homes, Inc., Plymouth, NH: Project Manager for structural design and
construction phase services for a two-story, 30,000sf residential building consisting of 30 units to
serve homeless veterans.
• One Boston Way Apartments, Newburyport, MA: Project Manager for structural design services
for a four-story, 20,600sf residential podium building consisting of 76-units (19 affordable housing
units) with subsurface parking. The foundation design included deep drive steel piles caps and grade
beams with a timber superstructure for the residential units.
• Newport Avenue Apartments, Quincy, MA: Principal-in-charge for the structural design services
for a six-story, 80,000sf residential development consisting of 80 units with subsurface parking.
• Mennino Place, CATCH Neighborhood Housing, Concord, NH: Structural design services for a five-
story apartment building in downtown Concord. The building is operated by CATCH Neighborhood
Housing and provides 45 affordable housing units, half of which will have a preference for artists. A
structural steel frame with bar joist floors and tube columns was selected to provide maximum
flexibility for the current floor plan and for future renovations.
• Harriman Hill Workforce Housing, Wolfeboro, NH: Structural design services for Phase I and
Phase II of this workforce housing project. Both phases included six multi-family buildings with a
total of 48 rental units. The buildings included one, two and three bedroom units. Design included
timber-frame construction with shear wall systems.
• Summerhill Assisted Living Home, Peterborough, NH: Structural design for a new 13,500sf steel
framed addition to the existing timber framed assisted living facility. The existing facility was also
renovated to include second and first story timber additions to existing living space. The new addition
will be used to accommodate elderly patients living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
• Riverwalk Condominiums and Carriage Homes, Bedford, NH: Project Manager for the structural
design of a new 3-story, wood-framed (with steel interior columns), 70,000sf condominium restricted
to ages 55 and older, including a below grade parking garage. Design of twenty-eight 2-story, wood-
framed, slab-on-grade residential cottages for assisted care living.
• Summercrest Independent and Assisted Living Residence, Newport, NH: Structural Engineer for
new 15,000sf timber framed, addition to existing facility.
• Christopher Heights, Northampton, MA: Structural design for a new assisted living facility with 43
apartments for low to moderate income seniors. The project met LEED for Homes for energy efficiency.
• Eagles Landing Condominium Community, Tewksbury, MA: Structural design and construction
administration for a 3-story timber framed active adult condominium building.
