• Installation of a new unit or the replacement of an old unit will
require completion of a DRB guidelines if the unit will be situated in
a new location.

Standard Utility Boxes
No DRB application is required

• If the box is:
o For the supplying of the house with electricity, cable, or
television service.
o Is an appropriate size for its residential context.
o It is finished in muted green, brown, tan, or gray.

All Other Utility Boxes

• The box should be appropriate in size and appearance for a residential
property.
• The color should blend with its surroundings.
• The box should be installed in an unobtrusive location and, if
necessary, be screened by additional landscaping or structural
screening.
• The completion of a DRB Application Form, conformance with the
RA Cluster Design Guidelines for Security Devices, and application
submission to the DRB for approval must be made.
