About Being a Grandmother

there will be blessings in the lives of those

children who honor their parents.

And whether adult children want to admit it or

not, their parents have many years of helpful and

practical experience “under their belts” (even

unbelieving parents), and it’s wise to consider

and heed their advice and warnings and

especially the advice and warnings of godly

parents. Although my mother was not a born-

again Christian until possibly the latter part of

her life, she had a lot of common sense and

could “read” people well. I still remember many

of her comments (and warnings) about certain

people in my life that are even to this day

proving to be true.

Adult children should treasure and value the

influence of godly parents and godly

grandparents and should do whatever is

necessary (without violating a biblical principle
