Will the Real Christians Stand Up Will the Real Christians Stand Up

“Can I at least get her to sit inside this wheelchair until
the nurse comes?” the security guard asked.
“I believe so.” Mr. Sanchez said as he opened the back

seat door for Emilia. “Can you make it to the wheelchair?” he
         asked Emilia.
Emilia shook her head yes, slowly making her way to the
wheelchair. “We will take it from here,” Lula, the lady nurse,

said. She was accompanied by two more nurses. Her training
allowed her to be adept in many ways. She took note of Emil-
ia’s respiration rate while the patient spoke in her pressured
way, letting Adriana and her parents know she was okay.
“You all can meet back up with her on the second-floor-
labor and delivery,” Nurse Lula said.

“Yes, ma’am,” Mrs. Sanchez said. Adriana and her dad
managed to park their cars side by side in the lot of the hospi-
tal. Everyone made their way to the labor and delivery wait-
         ing room.
“Miss Sanchez, are you able to fill out a few papers be-

fore your admission?” “Yes ma’am, “Emilia said as her con-
         tractions had eased temporarily.
“Just fill out what you can. Once we get you situated,
we will have you fill out the rest.
Emilia began filling out the admission paperwork. “Oh
my gosh,” she said as the contractions started back.

“Just continue to breathe.” The doctor is on the way up
to check and see if you’ve dilated,” the nurse said.
               “I’m cold,” Emilia said.
“Got you,” the nurse said. “After the contractions ease a
little, I’ll have you change to a lighter garment. I will make sure

you have all the blankets you need.
“I’m a little thirsty,” Emilia said.
