each be considered separately. Each measure can be assigned an
evaluation weight proportional to its significance in accomplishing
the task's learning outcomes.
Regarding the advantages of analytic scoring, which
provides information for learning improvement and promotes
student learning of EFL writing as the purpose of this study, the
writer adopted analytical scoring to analyze students writing
competencies. Fox and Cheng (2017) claim that “analytic scales are
often preferable in assessment contexts because they provide so
much more information to teachers and students about specific
aspects of a performance that need attention or shoe development”
(p. 125). For example, analytic scoring is designed to assess
students’ writing performance, so the categories are content,
organization, grammar, vocabulary, and mechanics.
d. Measurement Approach using Many-Facet Rasch Measurement
(MFRM)
Language competency is commonly assessed by evaluating an
individual's receptive skills, which encompass listening and reading, as
well as their productive skills, which include speaking and writing.
Usually, a multiple-choice or true-false exam is used to gauge language
