The house was named Sint Lukas and is
located on what is now called the Le

The house could be built from an

In 1910 the family was “finished”, and
August again got the itch in the legs: he
resumed his travels to North Africa. In
general, he stayed away for three months
and then stayed home for another three
months. He never came back empty-

handed. In addition to the completed
paintings and drawings he brought all kind
of things with him. Sometimes it was
Sloughis again, other times he imported
Arabic stallions for relations and also Artis Father and Mother Le Gras with daughter “Bird” and

could regularly enjoy his imports. Due to Sloughi dog (family album)
the war conditions, the trips stopped in
          1914.
