1. Push off one foot and keep your feet parallel to each

                other as you shuffle laterally in either a clockwise or
                counter-clockwise direction around the ring.

                2. Practice moving and shifting in both directions,
                constantly changing the frequency and pace of each shift.

                Keep your hands in a neutral and ready position, ensuring
                your chin is protected as you move around.




                                  CUTTING OFF THE RING


                Understanding how to effectively control your
                target’s movement around the ring gives you greater
                ability to control the pace of each exchange.

                Visualize the ring as being divided into four
                quadrants, with one corner in each quadrant. You will
                practice controlling the center of the ring. Your aim is
